Honeycomb:
Honeycomb is such a delicous treat, it is very sticky and toffee like but it is a perfectthing to make. It is great for eating on its own, our sprinkled on some cupcakes or even with a slice of cheese cake! Try dipping it in melted chocolate and placing in the fridge until set for an even tastier treat!
Ingredients:
80g Butter
160g caster sugar
80g golden syrup
2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

Ingredients:
80g Butter
160g caster sugar
80g golden syrup
2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
- To make honeycomb, add 80 grams of butter into a pan, along with 160 grams of caster sugar and 80 grams of golden syrup, before heating gently until the sugar has melted.
- Once the sugar has melted, turn up the heat and boil rapidly for five minutes until the mixture turns a honeycomb colour.
- Now add 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda and allow it to rise and bubble up. At this stage pour the mixture into a shallow tray and leave to set.
- When cool, simply break it up.
